Tablet press operation skills:

1. Before using the tablet press, all oil cups, oil holes and friction surfaces must be lubricated with lubricating oil, and run empty so that each friction surface is covered with oil film to prolong the service life of the machine.

2. Before each shift and after each shift, it is necessary to test the pressure of the empty machine. If there is no problem, open the electric tablet, which can prolong the service life of the mold.

3. Selection of tablet type (die): The working end faces of the upper and lower punches of the tablet press die form the surface shape of the tablet, and the diameter of the middle die is the diameter of the tablet. Correct selection of tablet type is the first step to a successful tableting die. For example, chewable tablets require high hardness and are easy to chew. Most of them are flat tablets with beveled edges; those that require film coating can choose shallow concave tablets. Because there are no binders and lubricants in the raw materials of traditional Chinese medicine tablets, it is required to have a large pressure during tableting, and the tablet shape is preferably concave. For tablets with high sugar content, the design of the tablet is preferably concave or flat. The middle mold can use alloy steel or hard alloy. The deep concave sheet die is easy to be damaged and should be used as little as possible.

4. When replacing the mold, if the middle mold cannot go down, use a stick of the same size as the upper mold to gently knock the middle mold down.

5. During the tablet pressing process of the tablet press, the quality of the tablet (tablet weight, hardness, surface finish, etc.) must be checked frequently and adjusted in time.

6. If the material with large mineral and plant fiber content, large sheet diameter and poor viscosity is pressed, it is advisable to use low-speed tabletting. High speed generally does not exceed 25 rpm. On the other hand, if the granules with stickiness, good fluidity, small size and easy-to-form are pressed, a higher speed can be selected.

7. Mold preservation method: After cleaning, apply a layer of food-grade lubricating oil (oil or edible oil), put it in a special protection box or a die storage box, and place it on the shelf. The specifications and dimensions should be marked. Store on a shelf.

8. When the tableting room is in operation or not, it is closed with plexiglass to prevent pollution.

9. After use every day, the remaining powder should be taken out, and all parts of the machine should be wiped clean. If the stoppage time is longer, the die must be removed, and the friction surfaces of the machine must be removed. Clean the working surface, apply anti-rust oil, and cover with dust-proof clothing; the die should be wiped clean and then immersed in oil for preservation.
