The Owner and the Supervisor of Project in Papua New Visiting Getai Hydropower for FAT Inspection

On January 15, 2020, Project Owner Mr. Francis and Project Supervisor Mr. Bjarne Borrsen, accompanied by relevant leaders of DEC, visited Shenyang Getai Hydropower Equipment Co., Ltd. for FAT inspection of 2 sets of Francis turbine units with double-runner structure, shafts, and accessories manufactured by Getai Hydropower for Warangoi Hydropower Station in Papua New Guinea.

The inspection lasted from January 15 to 16. All parties first held a meeting in Getai Hydropower to review all relevant documents for this project. After relevant technical personnel of Getai explained the machining techniques and procedures in detail to the Project Owner and the Supervisor, they felt very satisfied, and believed these documents fully met the requirements of the tendering documents and the contract. Also they showed their great praises and approvals to the high-quality documents and drawings prepared by Getai Hydropower.

During this inspection for acceptance, Mr. Bjarne Borresen, accompanied by the equipment-manufacturing supervision personnel of DEC and relevant technical personnel of Getai Hydropower, made strict inspections and tests on hydro-turbine Unit 1# and Unit 2 # and relevant accessories, including dimension inspections, inlet & outlet clearance inspections, UT, static balancing tests of Francis runners; dimension inspections of shafts; opening inspections of distributor.

This inspection was anticipated to last for two days. But due to the high quality in manufacturing techniques and products of Getai Hydropower, the actual inspection was successfully completed half a day earlier. At the end of the inspection, and before returning to Papua New Guinea, the Project Owner and the Supervisor greatly praised the product quality, machining techniques and services provided by Getai Hydropower, and sincerely felt appreciated for the active cooperation and warm hospitality of Getai, and expected to deepen the cooperation with Getai Hydropower in the future.

This power station is featured for its turbine with double-runner structure, which is also the technical difficulty in this project, and even a difficulty for those world famous hydropower equipment manufacturing enterprises. But Getai solves such difficulty so perfectly, and provides quality products to its clients. Besides, this is the first project inspection since the beginning of this year, which is completed in success. So it is of great and extraordinary significance to Getai. It is undoubtedly believed that Getai Hydropower will obtain greater achievements in the Year 2020!
