The SLS Price Trend in Q2 2026 showed a strong increase across major markets in Asia, the Middle East, and North America. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is widely used in personal care products, household cleaning products, shampoos, soaps, and detergents.
Because it is an important ingredient for many everyday products, changes in its price can affect manufacturers, importers, distributors, and other buyers. During the second quarter of 2026, SLS prices increased mainly because of higher raw material costs, limited supply availability, and disruptions in transportation and sourcing linked to geopolitical tensions.
India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE recorded some of the strongest gains, while Bangladesh, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and the USA also experienced significant price increases. However, the market began to cool in June as raw material availability improved and freight costs started to settle.
