The Benzene Price Trend changed sharply during Q2 2026, with prices moving higher across almost all major markets before showing signs of correction in June. The main pressure came from higher crude oil and energy costs linked to continued tensions in the Middle East. Since benzene is closely connected with the broader petrochemical and energy chain, changes in feedstock and energy costs quickly affected market pricing.

During the quarter, the USA recorded the largest increase, while markets across Asia, Europe, and other regions also experienced significant gains. By June, however, the market started moving in the opposite direction as crude oil and energy costs eased.

For buyers, sellers, traders, and manufacturers, Q2 2026 was therefore a good example of how quickly the benzene market can respond to changes in the wider energy environment. The quarter began with strong upward pressure, continued with elevated valuations, and then moved into a period of normalization toward the end.
