The SMBS Price Trend during Q2 2026 showed a clear upward movement across major international markets. Sodium Metabisulfite (SMBS) prices increased as buyers stepped up procurement, restocking activity remained active, and demand stayed firm across water treatment, food processing, textiles, mining, pharmaceuticals, and chemical manufacturing. 

Across China, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia, India, Germany, the Netherlands, and France, the market recorded price increases ranging from 5% to 82% compared with the previous quarter, although the strength of the movement varied significantly from one region to another.
