Slurry pump is a common machine that increases the energy of solid-liquid mixed media by centrifugal force. It is mainly used in mining, metallurgy, construction and other fields. As a common practical auxiliary tool, there are three common problems in the use of slurry pumps, that is, unstable flow, cavitation, and seal failure, which leads to slurry leakage problems. How about it? The following centrifugal pump manufacturer will share with you!
1. How to solve the unstable flow of slurry pump?
The reasons for the unstable flow of the slurry pump are as follows:
1. Leakage of suction pipe or foot valve, or blocked water inlet, this is a common cause of insufficient flow. Check the leak source of the suction pipe and the bottom valve and block it in time, or clear the silt or blockage at the water inlet.
2. If the voltage is too low, the speed of the slurry pump is reduced, resulting in insufficient flow of the slurry pump. At this time, the power supply voltage should be checked and adjusted in time.
3. Air leakage in the pipeline or air in the pump body. At this time, the air in the pipeline can be exhausted in time.
4. Severe wear of the seal ring or impeller will also cause the flow of the slurry pump to be unstable. The worn seal ring and impeller should be inspected and replaced in time.
5. Insufficient depth of water in the bottom valve causes air to enter when pumping. The depth of the bottom valve should be adjusted according to the suction stroke of the slurry pump.
6. If the slurry pump works normally for a period of time after starting, but the current gradually decreases and the flow rate is obviously insufficient, this problem still occurs after restarting normal operation for a period of time, mostly due to the accumulation of slurry or other debris in the suction pipe. As a result, the slurry pump will cause cavitation. When the slurry pump is more serious, there will be a large noise and the pump head will vibrate obviously. At this time, the front pool and suction pipe should be cleaned thoroughly to reduce the length below the elbow or increase the stirring device to reduce Slurry sedimentation.
2. How to solve the phenomenon of cavitation in the slurry pump?
At a certain temperature, when the pressure of the liquid drops below the saturation pressure, boiling vaporization occurs. This is a characteristic of the liquid itself. At a certain temperature, the saturation pressure is constant, and it increases with the increase of temperature.
For a centrifugal pump such as a slurry pump, the pressure of the suction port can be reduced to make the liquid sucked into the pump. When the pressure of the suction port is lower than the saturated air pressure corresponding to the water temperature, the suctioned liquid will vaporize. The bubbles formed by gasification converge at the lowest pressure position in the slurry pump, that is, the back of the blade above the impeller inlet. As the surrounding liquid is outward, the impact of the liquid will cause noise and vibration. Damage
Generally speaking, the measures to solve the cavitation phenomenon are:
1. Control the suction liquid pressure to prevent the liquid pressure from being too low.
2. Control the flow rate of the suction port to make the slurry pump work at the specified shot volume.
3. Reduce the installation height of the slurry pump appropriately.
4. Suction valve is fully open, and the filter is often cleaned.
