Why is Seamless Steel Pipe so popular in coastal areas? We all know that seawater is salty, unlike freshwater in rivers and rivers, which contains a lot of chlorine, which can react with metals and accelerate Corrosion of metal. But for stainless steel seamless pipe, stainless steel seamless pipe has very good corrosion resistance, stainless steel can be used for a long time in the marine environment, so people near the ocean or working at sea will use stainless steel pipe to use.
The stainless steel seamless pipe contains molybdenum (Mo) element, which makes the stainless steel pipe itself has very strong corrosion resistance. Although there are many other chemicals with strong corrosion properties in seawater and normal atmosphere besides chlorides, these stainless steel pipes that are particularly resistant to corrosion are not a problem.
The maximum carbon content of stainless steel is 0.03, which can be used in applications that cannot be annealed after welding and require maximum corrosion resistance.
Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance is better than 304 stainless steel, and it has good corrosion resistance in the production process of pulp and paper. And stainless steel is also resistant to the erosion of the ocean and the aggressive industrial atmosphere.
Heat resistance: 316 stainless steel has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use below 1600 degrees and continuous use below 1700 degrees. In the range of 800-1575 degrees, it is best not to continuously act 316 stainless steel, but when continuously using 316 stainless steel outside this temperature range, the stainless steel has good heat resistance. 316L stainless steel has better resistance to carbide precipitation than 316 stainless steel, and can be used in the above temperature range.
Heat treatment: Annealing in the temperature range of 1850-2050 degrees, then rapid annealing, and then quickly cooling. 316 stainless steel cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
Welding: 316 stainless steel has good welding performance. All standard welding methods can be used for welding. Depending on the application, 316Cb, 316L or 309Cb stainless steel filler rods or welding rods can be used for welding. In order to obtain the best corrosion resistance, the welding section of 316 stainless steel needs to be annealed after welding. If 316L stainless steel is used, post-weld annealing is not required.
