Tin Ingot is a commercial tin cast into ingots, partially refined, but also contains a small amount of different impurities (such as copper, lead, iron or arsenic), which is a solid tin different from the tin plate. It can be used as a coating material and has a very wide range of uses in food, machinery, electrical appliances, automobiles, aerospace and other industrial sectors. The tin smelter smelts elemental tin from ore rich in tin elements. Tin ingots are the product form of tin and the basic raw material for all tin deep processing.
Tin Ingot
testing regulations
1 Inspection and acceptance
1.1 The tin ingot is inspected by the supplier's technical supervision department to ensure that the product quality meets the requirements of this standard, and fill in the quality certificate.
1.2 The demand side can inspect and accept the received tin ingot according to the provisions of this standard. If the inspection result is inconsistent with the provisions of this standard (or ordering contract), it shall be submitted to the supplier within two months from the date of receipt of the tin ingot, which shall be resolved through consultation between the supplier and the buyer. If arbitration is required, it shall be conducted by both the supplier and the buyer or by a sampling inspection by an inspection agency recognized by the supplier and the buyer.
Character
Silver-white metal, soft, with good ductility. Melting point 232 ℃, density 7.29g/cm3. Non-toxic
Tin is a silvery white and soft metal. It is very similar to lead and zinc, but looks brighter. Its hardness is relatively low, you can cut it with a knife. It has good ductility, especially at a temperature of 100 ℃, it can develop into a very thin tin foil, the thickness can be as thin as 0.04 mm or less.
Tin is also a low-melting metal with a melting point of only 232°C, so as long as it is melted with a candle flame, it can be melted like mercury.
Pure tin has a peculiar performance: when the tin rod and tin plate are bent, a special burst sound like crying sound will be emitted. This sound is caused by the friction between the crystals. When the crystal is deformed, such friction occurs. Strangely, if the tin alloy is changed, it will not make such a cry when it is deformed. Therefore, people often identify whether a piece of metal is tin based on this characteristic of tin.
