Plasma arc uses a plasma gun to compress the free arc between the cathode (tungsten electrode) and anode into an arc with high temperature, high ionization and high energy density. It can be used for welding, spray coating, surfacing and cutting. Rods Gouging Torch Exporters share with you.

There are three types of plasma arcs according to the power supply mode:
1. Non-transfer arc, mainly used for welding and cutting of non-metallic materials, but also for plasma spraying
2. Transfer type arc is mainly used for welding and cutting of metal materials.
3. Combined arc, mainly used for microbeam plasma arc welding below 30A.

Methods and characteristics of plasma arc welding
1. Penetrating plasma arc welding, mainly used for single-pass welding (double-sided forming) of 1.6-9mm weldments. Its characteristics are: ① less stomata. ② The transverse deformation of the weld is small. ③ Single-pass welding can be achieved for thick plates. ④ There are many welding variable parameters, and the parameter interval is narrow. ⑤ Mainly automatic welding. ⑥ The welding torch has a great influence on the welding quality and the nozzle life is short. ⑦Except for aluminum and aluminum alloy, most of them are limited to the flat welding position.
2. Penetration type plasma arc welding is generally similar to tungsten argon arc welding and is mainly used for multi-layer welding of thin or thick plates. Among them, the penetration type plasma arc welding of 30A is also called micro beam plasma arc welding.
