Did you know that unlike other types of valves, if the factory loses power, air, manpower, or all of the above factors, the check valves can still work? They have a variety of sizes, materials, and connection ports that can be used for countless applications.
So why are their sizes or choices often inappropriate? This is because the check valve can only play a role in practical applications. Generally, the problem with check valves is not related to the valve itself, but to application and other factors. Therefore, when you solve the problem or replace the check valve, please keep in mind the following three common problems:
Water hammer
Water hammer is one of the most common check valve problems. Water hammer is the pressure fluctuation caused when the liquid or gas is forced to stop suddenly or change direction, usually occurs when the valve at the end of the pipeline system is suddenly closed. This can cause noise and vibration, which in turn can lead to damage and additional maintenance or repair costs.
However, a water hammer can be prevented by using a quick-closing check valve that prevents pressure fluctuations and shock waves, which can damage and rupture equipment. Our silent check valves are especially known for their effectiveness in preventing and eliminating water hammer.
Reverse Flow
Reverse flow is another common check valve problem, and its cost can be very high, especially when it occurs at the drain of the pump, causing the pump to rotate backward.
A fast-closing and tight-closing valve are necessary to prevent this problem, and the correct spring-assisted online check valve can do this, eliminating backflow.
Oversized
If there is a large amount of valve vibration-repeatedly opening and closing the valve-it is likely due to oversize. It is important to remember that the diameter of the check valve should be suitable for the application, not the pipe diameter. You want the flap to be stable relative to the internal stopper in the open position or fully closed state; this will result in no repeated jitter and therefore no premature failure.
Please keep in mind these common problems, choose the correct check valve for your application, your check valve will be used for a longer time, and work more effectively for your application.
