2.The effect of steam
Our commonly used vacuum pump is a steam evacuation vacuum pump, which uses over-saturated water vapor as the working medium. The condition of the steam has a decisive influence on the function of the pump. Wet steam not only affects the function of the pump, but also corrodes the steam nozzle. The sealing force of the dynamic and static ring sealing surface of the machine seal is applied by the spring on the moving ring. Because the static ring is fixed, the water pressure will push the dynamic ring and compress the spring in the opposite direction of the static ring, thereby weakening or canceling the dynamic and static ring surfaces. The sealing force will cause the sealing surface to leak. After the maintenance is completed, the power end machine seal is leaked with cooling water. The water inlet valve is opened below 2/3, and the machine seal is intact. When the water valve is opened more than 2/3, the machine seal leaks. When the power end or non-power end machine seal is replaced separately, the bearing (bearing seat) at the corresponding end must be dismantled before removing the old machine seal and installing the new machine seal.
