What Are the Functions of Rail Fastenings?

Restrict the spinning of the railing about the outer borders of the Rail Fastenings.

Minimise Regular motion of railings through creep and thermal forces.

Help in retention of course indicator.

Not result in harm to the railing.

Where practicable, Railway Fasteners will be self-tensioning or allow tightening of the fastening into a predetermined load.

Where present rail fastenings aren't helpful in minimising longitudinal movement of railings, it's permissible to match rail anchors as a process of fulfilling this requirement.
