2. External motor placement: The motor is located outside the drum body, which makes maintenance and repair more convenient. It also reduces the heat generated inside the drum and improves the service life of the equipment.
3. Sturdy construction: Made of high-quality materials, the external electric drum is sturdy and durable, able to withstand heavy loads and harsh operating conditions.
II. Performance features
1. High efficiency: The integrated design of the motor and reducer ensures high transmission efficiency, reducing energy consumption and operating costs.
2. Smooth operation: The precision machining and balancing of the drum body ensure smooth operation, reducing vibration and noise.
3. Variable speed control: Many external electric drums offer variable speed control options, allowing for flexible adjustment of conveyor speed according to different production requirements.
4. Reliable performance: With reliable electrical and mechanical components, the external electric drum provides stable and reliable performance, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
III. Application features
1. Wide range of applications: Suitable for various types of belt conveyors, such as horizontal conveyors, inclined conveyors and curved conveyors. It can be used in industries such as mining, cement, chemical, food processing and logistics.
2. Easy installation: The external electric drum is relatively easy to install, usually only requiring simple mounting brackets and connections. This simplifies the installation process and reduces installation time and costs.
3. Adaptability to different environments: It can operate in different environmental conditions, including high temperature, humidity and dusty environments. Some models may also be designed for explosion-proof applications.
IV. Maintenance features
1. Convenient maintenance: As the motor is located outside the drum body, maintenance personnel can easily access and service the motor and other components without disassembling the drum. This reduces maintenance difficulty and downtime.
2. Regular inspection: Regular inspection of the external electric drum includes checking the motor's operation, lubrication of the reducer, and the condition of the belt. This helps to detect potential problems early and prevent major failures.
3. Replacement of wearing parts: Over time, wearing parts such as belts and bearings may need to be replaced. The external electric drum's design makes it relatively easy to replace these parts, ensuring continued reliable operation.

Pulley is one of the important components of belt conveyors. The pulleys with the following characteristics:
1. The connecting plate is integrally cast by lost foam casting technology, which has balanced stress and high strength.
2. Keyless connection (expansion sleeve is used for drive pulleys and interference fit is used for bend pulleys), greatly reducing the failure probability of the shaft.
3. The pulley shell is made by rolling steel plates with good material quality and guaranteed radial runout.
4. Conduct static balance tests one by one to ensure smooth operation.
5. The proprietary vulcanized rubber layer improves the friction and wear resistance of the pulley, effectively increasing the service life of the pulley.
6. Adopt advanced finite element analysis method for optimized design to make high-strength drums reliable in performance and guaranteed in quality.
Classification of pulleys:
1. Driving pulleys are crucial components for transmitting power. The pulleys come in smooth surface and rubber surface type. The rubber surface can be further divided into smooth rubber, herringbone rubber, and rhombic rubber to meet different process requirements.
2. Return pulleys are main parts for the operation of belt conveyors. They are divided into pulleys with smooth surfaces and rubber surfaces. According to structural forms, they are classified into light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty series.
3. Motorized pulleys, as power components of belt conveyors, are widely used in applications such as mining, metallurgy, chemical industry, coal, building materials, electricity, grain, and transportation etc.
A pulley for conveyor belts consists of a cylinder body, shaft, bearings, and hub. The cylinder body, usually made of durable metal materials such as steel, forms the main structure. It is designed for smooth operation and can undergo special treatments to enhance wear or corrosion resistance. The shaft, which runs through the center, is supported by bearings at both ends to ensure smooth rotation. The hub connects the cylinder body and the shaft, providing stability and durability for various conveyor applications.
