Different types of feeders have structural differences, but their working principles are basically the same, mainly including the following:

1. Component Identification and Positioning

2. Component Picking

3. Component Mounting

4. Feeder Reset and Preparation for Next Picking

Component Identification and Positioning

The feeder identifies the type, size, and pin direction of components through internal sensors or cameras and transmits this information to the control system of the surface mount machine. The control system calculates the precise position of the components based on this information and commands the sticker head to pick them up.

Component Picking

The sticker head is moved to the designated position of the feeder according to the instructions of the control system, and the components are picked up by vacuum suction or mechanical clamping. During the picking process, it is necessary to ensure that the pin direction and position of the components are accurate and correct when pasting the heads.

Component Mounting

After picking up the components on the mounting head, move them to the designated position on the PCB according to the instructions of the control system, and mount the components onto the PCB. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure that the pins of the components are aligned with the solder pads on the PCB to ensure the quality of the soldering.

Feeder Reset and Preparation for Next Picking

After completing the installation of the first dimensional component, the feeder Feida will automatically reset and prepare for picking up the next dimensional component. At the same time, the SMT machine will automatically replace or adjust the feeder according to the production plan and mounting requirements to meet the mounting needs of different types of components.
