The scissor lift is a common vertical transportation equipment, and its main working principle is to achieve the function of rising and falling through the scissor structure. The following will provide a detailed introduction to the principle of scissor lift from two aspects: structure and working principle.

Firstly, the structure of the scissor lift consists of two sets of symmetrical scissor components. Each set of scissor components consists of two brackets and cross connected support rods, with a shape similar to scissors, hence the name scissor lift. Two sets of shear fork components are connected together through connecting rods, allowing the entire structure to expand and retract up and down, achieving the function of lifting and lowering.

During the operation of the scissor lift, the motor drives the screw to rotate through a transmission device, and the screw is embedded in the iron plate between two sets of scissor components. When the screw rotates, the iron plate will rise or fall accordingly, causing the unfolding or folding movement of two sets of shear fork components. At the same time, in order to ensure the stability of the scissor lift, guide rails are usually set between two sets of scissor components to make the lifting process more stable.

During the lifting process, the upper and lower parts of the scissor lift can respectively bear the weight of the object. When the elevator needs to rise, the motor applies torque to the screw to rotate it. The screw pushes the iron plate up, and the movement of the iron plate drives two sets of shear fork components to unfold, thereby causing the elevator to rise. When the elevator needs to descend, the motor rotates in the opposite direction, causing the iron plate to descend and the scissor structure to fold, causing the elevator to descend.

In summary, the main working principle of a scissor lift is to drive the screw to rotate through the motor, causing the iron plate to rise or fall, thereby causing the unfolding or folding of two sets of scissor components. Through this movement method, the scissor lift can achieve vertical lifting function. In addition, for higher safety requirements, scissor lifts are usually equipped with safety lock devices to ensure the safety of operators.

Scissor lifts have the advantages of simple structure, stable operation, low noise, and large load capacity, and are widely used in logistics warehousing, automobile maintenance, construction sites, and other fields. In engineering practice, the size and load capacity of scissor type elevators need to be designed and selected according to specific needs to meet the usage requirements of different scenarios.
