The Use of Belt Conveyor Idlers

 

1. The roller skin is worn

 

The main reason is that the middle part of the idler is worn to the point of breaking, and the wear of some idlers in contact with the edge of the conveyor belt will also lead to breakage.

 

Main reason:

1) The rotation resistance of the idler is large, and the frictional resistance between the idler and the conveyor belt is large, causing friction.

2) There is an off-angle between the rotation direction of the idler and the running direction of the conveyor belt, resulting in deflection friction resistance and wear of the idler.

3) The operating environment of the idler itself is harsh, causing friction between the idler and the material or other items in direct contact.

 

2. The roller bearing is damaged

 

The main reason is that the roller bearing does not rotate flexibly, the bearing points are worn, and there is also serious rust that causes the roller to not rotate.

 

Main reason:

1) The selection of belt conveyor idler rollers is unreasonable, resulting in damage to the bearing life due to expiration.

2) The sealing effect of the roller bearing is not good, causing grease pollution and causing the bearing to be lubricated.

3) The assembly of the belt conveyor idler roller is filled with less grease or the quality of the grease is not good, resulting in the failure of the idler lubrication and damage.

4) The design of the entire belt conveyor is unreasonable, the idler resonates, and the acceleration causes bearing damage.

 

3. The roller is damaged by bending deformation

 

The bending damage of the idler is more complicated, mainly because the bending deformation of the idler shaft is large, and the deflection angle is too large, which causes the friction between the shaft and the bearing seat, and also easily causes the seal of the idler to be damaged.

1) The selection of belt conveyor idlers is unreasonable and cannot meet the requirements of strength and rigidity.

2) The design of the whole belt conveyor is unreasonable, but the partial idler is under large force, causing overload and deformation damage.
