How to adjust metal frame glasses

When you wearing glasses for a long time, there will inevitably be some small problems with the frame.

We adjust the order of glasses from the inside to the outside, first check the bridge of the nose and then check the tip of the nose.

Different types of frames have different tuning methods. Today, let's first share the adjustment of the metal optical frame.

Four Technical requirements of adjusting metal frame glasses

1. First check whether the lens is in place

2. The lens is a glass lens, it is best to remove the lens first, and then adjust the frame.

3. Check whether the screws fall off.

4. Check whether the welding point of the frame is intact.

Four steps to adjust metal frame glasses

Firstly, We first calibrate the middle part of the frame horizontally. Then we can use a ruler or a triangle (see the picture below) to observe whether the bridge of the nose of the frame is straight.

If the nose bridge was crooked, we shuold try to adjust it by hand, and use fingers to pinch the frame and the bridge of the nose to level it (see the picture below).

When adjusting the metal frame, we best to put a piece of cotton cloth between the bridge of the nose and the pliers, and then adjust the frame in the appropriate direction. Then use fingers to adjust the bridge of the nose and the edge of the frame to a flat surface.

Secondly, we need to adjust the arc of the frame frame. Or we can adjust by hand, the arc of the frame frame should not exceed 1 cm from the edge of the table. Then start to adjust the degree of distortion and distortion of the mirror surface (see the image below).

Thirdly, after we've adjusted the middle of the frame. We need to check the studs and hinges of the glasses. To make the frame comfortable to wear, the opening and closing of the temples should be kept at about 95°.

Use cylindrical elbow pliers to clamp the corner of the pile head, and then hold it against the edge of the table until the pile head is straight (see picture below). In order to protect the surface of the frame, a piece of cotton or leather should be placed on the edge of the table in advance.

The final step is to use the camber pliers to adjust the nose pads so that they are symmetrical. When adjusting the nose pads, do not apply force to the stipules, otherwise the stipules will be damaged.
