Marble is a metamorphic or sedimentary carbonate rock, which belongs to medium-hard stone. Its chemical composition is mainly calcium carbonate, and its density is generally 2500-2600kg/m. The marble crystal particles are directly combined into an overall block structure, the texture is tight but the hardness is not large, the water absorption rate is less than 10%, the wear resistance is good, weak acid and alkali resistance, and no deformation. Pure marble is white, also known as white marble in my country. Third, the material particles are fine and uniform, and the thickness of the crystal grain size is ever-changing; there are many colors, including red, white, gray, beige, yellow, green, purple, blue, brown, black, etc., and its texture patterns are numerous, including landscapes. Fourth, it belongs to metamorphic rock, its formation process is complex and diverse, and there are many kinds of minerals, so the material properties of different marbles are very different, such as the Mohs hardness is doubled from 2.5 to 5. Therefore, there are certain standards for the use of marble: the bulk density is not less than 2.6g/cm3; the water absorption rate is not more than 0.75%; the dry compressive strength is not less than 20mpa; the bending strength is not less than 7.0mpa.

Fifth, the texture is softer than granite, it belongs to medium hardness stone, has high compressive strength and good physical and chemical properties. However, the gap of its material is large, and it is accompanied by cracks and cracks, which is easy to break. The hardness of marble slabs is low.
