Polypropylene Fire Resistant
Polypropylene is an economical material that offers a combination of outstanding physical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastic. Noted for its excellent chemical resistance in corrosive environments, polypropylene provides excellent resistance to organic solvents, degreasing agents and electrolytic attack. It is light in weight, resistant to staining, and has a low moisture absorption rate.
Polypropylene Fire Resistant have various UL ratings. They are more expensive and, because of the addition of the flame retardant fillers, they have lower physical properties and fabricating qualities. Flame retardant clad polypropylene has two outside skin sheets of Polypropylene Fire Resistant that are coextruded onto a center core of polypropylene. This provides a composite material that is tough and with flame retardant exterior surfaces.
ChaoKe’s Polypropylene Fire Resistant meet or exceed the most rigorous FMRC 4910 testing standards for most aspects of flame retardation, self-extinguishing characteristics and burn through. In addition, Polypropylene Fire Resistant also meets or exceeds test standards for low smoke generation and minimal toxic by-products. Polypropylene Fire Resistant is a filled PP sheet material, therefore, chemical compatibility should be verified for each application. Polypropylene Fire Resistant Details:
Polypropylene (PP), as one of the main plastics, has good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation. It is not affected by humidity, but becomes brittle at low temperature. It is not wear-resistant and easy to aging. It is suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts.PP Flame Retardant Particles refer to polypropylene, which is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic and translucent solid substance. Polypropylene is a kind of thermoplastic synthetic resin with excellent performance. It is a colorless and translucent thermoplastic lightweight general-purpose plastic.
Polypropylene Fire Resistant also is available in two flame-retardant formulations. Both offer the best overall fire-resistant qualities of any competitive FRP material. This flame resistance, however, does not come at the expense of aesthetics and high performance.
Extended data:
Characteristics of PP Flame Retardant Particles
1. The density of PP material is relatively small (0.91g / cm ^ 3). In fact, it has the lowest density among commonly used plastics.
2. PP material has very good stress cracking resistance and high bending fatigue life.
3. Good heat resistance. PP products can be used in high temperature environment below 100 ℃ for a long time. It will not deform significantly when the temperature is about 150 degrees.
4. Good chemical stability. PP has excellent chemical stability and is inert to most acids, bases, salts and oxidants. In addition, PP has food grade and is widely used.
5. Processing performance. Once a certain temperature is reached, PP particles melt rapidly and can be completely transformed into molten state within a few degrees. The melt viscosity of PP is relatively low, so the molding fluidity is good, especially when the melt flow rate is high, the melt viscosity is smaller, which is suitable for injection molding of large thin-walled products.
Applications Of Polypropylene Fire Resistant
PP Flame Retardant Particles can be used in domestic water pipes and fittings. Electrical components, fan heater cases, television back covers.
Advantages Of Polypropylene Fire Resistant
Flame retardant additives have excellent compatibility with polypropylene, therefore good long-term protection. Available in coloured formulations. Low flame starting and propagation velocity, compared with unmodified PP.
1. Low Specific Gravity and low Water Absorption.
2. Low-cost and high Mold-ability.
3. Excellent Water Resistance and Heat Resistance.
4. Balanced Mechanical properties
5. Excellent Electrical properties.
6. Weather Resistance and Hydrolysis Resistance.
7. Conforms to UL 94 V-0 Flammability Standards.
PP is used to manufacture a range of Sheet, Pipe, Compounding and Returnable Transport Packaging (RTP). With the exception of RTP where Injection Moulding is used, extrusion dominates the conversion process used for these products. Some PP is utilised by the construction sector, most notable domestic drainage pipes.
In the automotive sector PP is utilised as a monomaterial solution for automotive interiors. The monomaterial dashboard is becoming increasingly achievable, PP film cushioning, film skins, and powder slush moulding and even blow moulded parts with integral PP textile covers are emerging.
Bumpers, cladding, and exterior trim are also available manufactured from polypropylene. Polypropylene developed for such applications provides low coefficient of linear thermal expansion and specific gravity, high chemical resistance and good weatherability, processability and impact/stiffness balance. Improvements with colour-at-the-press and pre-coloured PP have also reduced or eliminated the need for painting in some applications.
