Manufacturing process of optical components

Our company selects optical blanks provided by specific optical companies according to the customer's drawings, such as German Schott Company, CDGM Glass Co., Ltd and so on. The optical blanks that our company often processes include BK7, K9, fused silica glass, sapphire, silicon and germanium. After the quality inspection, the optical production personnel cut the optical blank according to the size of the optical element to achieve the highest utilization rate of the material. The cut optical blank is roughly ground with a milling machine, polished with a polishing machine, and then fine-ground to obtain precise surface quality, surface flatness and parallelism.

Our company is equipped with ZYGO interferometer, focal length meter, eccentric meter and other optical instruments to perform quality inspection of optical components. After the optical components pass the inspection, they are coated with anti-reflection coatings or reflective coatings, including single layer magnesium fluoride anti-reflection coatings, broadband anti-reflection coatings, single wavelength anti-reflection coatings (V-coating), dual-band anti-reflection coatings (W-coating), high reflection all-dielectric coatings, metal coatings (aluminum coatings, silver coatings, gold coatings) and DLC coatings.

The production manager controls the entire production process of optical components, from the preparation of optical blanks to the quality inspection after coating, to ensure on-time delivery. When the production process of optical components is finished, our company has specialized personnel to package the optical components. Our packaging methods can be adjusted according to requirements of customer, including wrapping paper, bubble films, packaging boxes and so on.
