Toolkits allow you to work efficiently without having to worry about missing tools. Matching the right tools to different tasks can make your job easier. But which tools are necessary and which ones work well? People may think of "hammers, pliers, screwdrivers". That's a good place to start, but there are many other necessities that should be included in your toolkit. Here are our recommendations for tools that will make your job run smoothly.
Hammer
There is no shortage of banging and tapping on the job, and a hammer, a very basic tool, is one of the most convenient items in your toolbox. Hammers are used for general carpentry, framing, nail pulling, cabinet making, assembling furniture, decorating, finishing, riveting, bending or forming metal, hammering masonry drills and steel chisels. Hammers come in a variety of forms, where the most standard ram's horn hammer is recommended. Use a comfortable medium weight ramrod hammer.
Pliers
Used to hold objects securely, or to cut and bend tough materials, pliers use the principle of leverage to reduce the force used by the user when operating, allowing a stronger grip with less force to achieve the required use. Standard pliers kit is recommended.
Screwdriver
A set of screwdrivers is essential for the tools used to tighten or loosen screws. Most things are held in place with screws, so being able to adjust or reassemble as needed will make life easier. Ideally, you should have several different sizes of screws so that you can handle a variety of sizes. Alternatively, you can use a multi-bit screwdriver which is a handle and can be attached and replaced with various bits.
Wrenches
Wrenches come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are used to hold, tighten, turn, tighten and loosen items such as pipes, fittings, nuts and bolts. It is recommended to use adjustable wrenches, which are very convenient to grab nuts of various sizes by simply adjusting the jaws in and out. Also adjustable wrenches can be used for a variety of jobs, saving us space, time and money. An adjustable wrench can be used conveniently for a variety of jobs, whether it's simple plumbing work in the kitchen or bathroom, repairing a bicycle, or even large jobs like building a summer house!
Utility Knife
It's handy to have a sharp knife in your toolbox to cut things quickly and lightly. Utility knives also come in handy for opening things up or scribing on wood or plaster ready for cutting.
Tape Measure
Whether you are a casual DIY enthusiast or a professional, accurate measurements are a must. We highly recommend using locking and retracting tape or accuracy, ease of use and storage. Fabric tape will stretch over time and can be inaccurate and messy to store. A good tape measure is very useful, readily available and can be obtained very inexpensively.
In addition, safety is paramount in the workplace, so it is important to have safety equipment on the job, masks, helmets, and gloves are recommended.
