Tips for Using Sticky Mats

If your organization has a clean room, you will know how important it is to keep dust and other contaminants out of the clean room so that they do not enter the clean environment. Sticky pads are an important part of preventing dust and other contaminants in the clean room. When you walk on the mat, they can trap dust and debris. They are sticky (hence the name) and are named after sticky pads, sticky pads or adhesive pads. But how should you use them to make them effective? Sticky Mats

You may have rubber pads inside the clean room where there are robes and staging areas, but before workers enter the clean room, you also need to use rubber pads outside the clean room to remove contaminants. For this, make sure your clean room mat is wide enough to accommodate all the flow into the clean room. Although you can use a cushion that is not as wide as the door frame, make sure that the cushion is wide enough to accommodate most people.

Have a sticky mat long enough to clean the shoes

Many companies have obtained clean room mats of the same size as door mats, but the effect is not good. The reason is that the dust can only be sucked from each pair of shoes once. In many cases, the sticky mat is not long enough to step on, causing them to step on their feet with one foot instead of the other. You need to have a sticky mat that is long enough for a person to step on it with two feet at least once when walking on it. There is a sticky pad long enough that each foot can support two to three steps. In this way, you can ensure that the person steps on the mat at least twice with each foot and removes more debris. The longer mat combined with the 30-layer top layer ensures that more debris is captured over time.

If you use the clean room mat like a dust-free mat, please reposition it

If the size of the mat you use is the same as the size of the door mat, do not place it horizontal to the door, but place it so that the longer vertical part is in the pedestrian passage. In this way, your worker will step on the mat with both feet at least once.

Clean the floor before installing the adhesive mat

You can only use adhesive mats on hard floors. When you are ready to install the clean room mat, you need to clean the floor with alcohol (IPA) and deionized water with a ratio of 70% IPA and 30% water. Every time a new mat is installed, the floor needs to be cleaned to ensure that all the old adhesive on the floor is cleaned. If the floor is not cleaned, delamination may occur. Before installing a new adhesive mat, make sure that the floor is completely dry.
