Honeycomb activated carbon for aquarium water purification

Waterproof  honeycomb activated carbon is used for aquarium water purification. Waterproof  honeycomb activated carbon is a spectral adsorption material. It can effectively absorb sulfur dioxide, nitric oxide, carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride, hydrogen sulfide, as well as benzene, aldehydes, phenols, esters, ketones and other substances. Such as gasoline, diesel, phosgene and containing heavy metals and foul-smelling substances.

Ordinary honeycomb activated carbon can only be used for waste gas treatment, and sometimes used in sewage treatment with large water vapor, which will lead to powder, so the using effect is not good. A very good feature of waterproof  honeycomb carbon is that even if soaked in water, it will not lose its effect, so it can effectively remove water fishy, foul smell and other odor, so that water without odor for a long time, It can also balance pH value, remove chlorine, remove heavy metals, and culture nitrifying bacteria.

Southeast Asia and Russia use more honeycomb activated carbon in aquarium water purification, followed by the United States, Japan and Europe. Honeycomb activated carbon can be used in the initial stages of water tank construction to absorb harmful heavy metals and other harmful substances in the water and make the water slightly more acidic, which is suitable for American tropical fish. Activated charcoal is not recommended to be used in aquatic plants tanks, because it will absorbs the fertilizer. Do not use honeycomb activated carbon in the process of drug use, it will reduce the drug concentration and the efficacy. However, honeycomb activated carbon can be used after treatment to remove residual drug properties. It has a certain effect that sink and other decorations can be faded using honeycomb activated carbon to absorb pigment.

Before using honeycomb activated carbon, you need to rinse it with water, do not rub with your hands, and rinse off the black ash on the surface. New fish into the tank, after quarantining 1 day,  the honeycomb activated carbon filled with tank should be filtrated. If the water has not been changed for a long time, the water should be changed first, and then clean up and filter, remove part of the old filter material (closed water circulation), after 24 hours and then put into the honeycomb activated carbon, so that the bacteria can smooth excessive, so as not to water quality fluctuation range is large, resulting in fish discomfort.
