In order to make the geomembrane play the role of impermeability, in addition to the impermeability of the film itself, you also need to pay attention to the construction quality of laying composite geomembrane during the construction process on weekdays. Then it can be done by the following points.
1. The contact surface of composite geomembrane and support material should strive to be flat so that the film will not be punctured and lose its anti-seepage effect, otherwise, a fine grain bedding layer should be set to protect the film from damage.
2. Usually in corners and deformed lots, the joint length should be made as short as possible and no welding seam should be set up as far as possible.
3. The connection of the composite geomembrane itself, there are three ways to connect the impermeable film, namely bonding method, welding method and vulcanization method, depending on the different raw materials of the impermeable film, and the seepage resistance of all the joints should be checked to prevent the seepage phenomenon from occurring due to poor connection of the joints.
4.If the foundation is a shallow gravel permeable layer, the gravel should be excavated until the bedrock and then concrete base should be poured to fix the geomembrane in the concrete, if the foundation is an impermeable clay water layer, an anchor slot of 2m deep and 4m wide can be excavated to place the geomembrane in the slot. If the foundation is a deep sand and gravel permeable layer, the geomembrane cover can be used for impermeability, the length of which is determined according to calculation, the cover part must be leveled and a transition layer of about 30cm thick and 20mm in size should be laid, and a filter layer should also be laid on the film, followed by a protective layer, and the perimeter of the film should be tightly combined with the impermeable layer of the bank slope on both sides. The connection between the impermeable film and the anchor slot is determined depending on the permissible contact penetration slope of the film and concrete.
5. After the composite geomembrane is laid, walking on the membrane surface and moving tools should be minimized, and any objects that can cause harm to the impermeable membrane should not be placed on the membrane or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane.
