Dehydrated mica, also known as calcinated mica, is a special muscovite who lose crystal water. The average moisture content of natural mica is 4.5%,but it is undesirable in some situation. For example, it provides an hydroxylion on the molten stainless steel, so it is an enemy of stainless steel electrodes. In that case, our company adopt the calcine process of rotary kiln to remove the crystal water without damaging the struture of mica. It has bright color like gold. It has good application for decoration, special welding materials, building materials and electrical insulation.
