When I have ichthyosis

Every second, 4 newborn babies come to this country. With the anxiety of every family, there may also be a family with ichthyosis patients.

Today, with the explosion of information, people’s awareness of this disease is still not around. Ichthyosis patients are discriminated against and cannot go to school because their skin is different from ordinary people. They are restricted to work types and cannot integrate into normal social circles, resulting in serious inferiority complex.

Therefore, the Zhangjian Ichthyosis Patients Care Center planned an activity “When I have ichthyosis”to experience the ichthyosis in person, hoping to carry out care and aid for the group of ichthyosis.

A total of 42 caring people from various universities and companies participated in “When I have ichthyosis”, after the painting of their skins. They took a mask of “fish scales” to go out. Some people passing by gave them strange glances, while others smiled and greeted them. After the event, a total of 16 caring people decided to join us in the long-term aid work for ichthyosis patients. “When I “become” a patient with ichthyosis, I could totally feel them situation, and I am willing to help them have a better life” they said.

We are soberly aware that there is no real empathy in the world, but we are also willing to believe that everyone has the potential to become heroes.
