1. Crimped vs. Soldered Connection Between RF Connector and RF Cable

Southwest antenna has specified stainless steel solder shank for our RF connector to ensure strong and reliable solder joint. the lower right photo of figure 1 shows the solder handle during welding.

for military and law enforcement applications where nonreflective, low-visibility product coatings are preferred, the southwest antenna has partnered with its main RF connector supplier to specify a unique black chrome plating process for the outer surface of the RF connector.
