3 Overhaul of clutch pressure plate assembly
(1) Checking the end face of the pressure plate
Fix the pressure plate on the mandrel and check the end face jump with a dial indicator. The service limit is 0.2mm. If the riveting point of the pressure plate is damaged or riveted, the pressure plate should be replaced.
(2) Check the height of diaphragm spring
If the height of the diaphragm spring changes, it means that the diaphragm spring has insufficient elasticity and must be replaced. The height of the diaphragm spring can be checked with a caliper. The difference from the standard height should not be greater than 0.5mm.
(3) Inspection of the wear of the small end of the diaphragm spring
Use calipers to check the traces of contact wear between the small end of the diaphragm spring on the clutch pressure plate and the separating bearing, the depth should not be greater than 0.6mm.
