Forged Fittings ASME B16.11 Socket Weld And Threaded Type

As the heavy industrial is developing very fast , pipe fittings are widely applied. Threaded fittings (NPT, BSP, BSPT), its pressure classes is 2000 LBS, 3000LBS, 6000LBS. 2. Socket-weld fittings ((S/W)) and its pressure classes is 3000 LBS, 6000LBS, 9000 LBS.

Forged fittings standard is ASME B16.11. This Standard covers the ratings, dimensions, tolerances, material requirements. The fitting size ranges from size 1/8" to 4" (DN6-DN100) in standard B16.11. And the main material including carbon steel and stainless steel, For CS , there are A105 and F5, F9, F11, F12, F22, F91; for stainless steel material, there are 304/304L, 316/316L and so on. 

Since it is called high pressure fittings, so the advantages of forged fittings are obvious.  High pressure fittings after forging have better mechanical properties than casting, as internal grain structure formed after forging. And the forged fittings stands for much higher pressure than other normal fittings.
