Dream of going to school ----Mermaid Angel,Miao

There are 6 people in Miao's family, 3 patients, and 2 are still in school (brother is in high school and sister is in junior high school). Miao's grandfather has been paralyzed in bed for nearly 10 years. His father was infected with cysticercosis a few years ago and was almost unable to work. With the four-year-old Miao who suffers from ichthyosis, the burden in the family has fallen on his mother. When Miao was born, there were blisters all over his body. He couldn't even stand up due to dry and cracked skin! What worries Miao's mother the most is that there has no kindergarten is willing to accept her son. Miao almost loses the opportunity to receive education forever.

"He used to take Miao to school. Although some children wanted to play with him, those parents also kept their children away from him. The teacher even kept Miao outside the classroom so that other children would not be frightened by her appearance"Miao's father said. Miao often said: "I want to go to school and play with my friends." His father feels truly uncomfortable when hears such desires and pleadings, but he doesn't know how to respond Miao.

When Miao saw many gifts we brought to him, Miao danced happily. At this time, he completely disappeared from the strangeness when he first saw us. He bounced around playing with the volunteers. Miao that always has siesta habit this day noon completely disappeared sleepy meaning.

Childhood should be more fond memories. While Miao has suffered from the strange eyes of his peers and adults. Fortunately, Miao is a lively and cheerful child. He was not afraid of contempt and the terrible thing this world brings him. We sincerely hope that Miao will have a chance to grow up healthily, as well as a hope for the family through our efforts.

In order to help Miao complete her dream of going to school, we discussed with teachers from a local elementary school about Miao. We introduced the pathology 

of ichthyosis and Miao’s situation for them in detail and emphasized that ichthyosis is not contagious and can be treated. He promised that would be admitted Miao to school immediately after Miao was treated. Miao was very excited after hearing the news and danced around.

We brought Miao to the Zhangjian Ichthyosis Care Center for treatment. Miao's ichthyosis is treated soon after.  "Miao finally could go to school and live like normal children, "Miao's mother said in excitement. From then on, Miao enjoys a beautiful life, run and play like children at the same age, and Miao bring smile to more people meanwhile.
