2. Distillation Technology system operation
The liquid at the bottom of the tower is heated by a reboiler to partially vaporize it. The reboiler at the bottom of the tower enters the tower and enters the tower, and contacts the descending liquid in two-phase countercurrent. The non-volatile components in the steam are continuously transferred to the descending liquid
Near the top of the tower, the higher the concentration of its volatile components, and the closer the descending liquid is to the bottom of the tower, the richer its volatile components are, to achieve the purpose of component separation. The vapor rising from the top of the tower enters the condenser, and part of the condensed liquid is returned to the top of the tower as reflux liquid, and the rest is sent out as distillate. Part of the liquid flowing out of the bottom of the column is sent to the reboiler for heating and returned to the column, and the other part of the liquid is recovered as the residual liquid in the kettle.

(1) The principle of thermosyphon reboiler

The thermosiphon reboiler uses the pressure difference between the liquid level of the distillation column and the liquid level of the reboiler as the power to drive the gravity circulation flow of the liquid, so that the liquid at the bottom of the distillation column flows to the reboiler. Part of the liquid is vaporized in the reboiler and returned to the column to achieve vapor and liquid separation. In order to ensure the normal operation of the reboiler, there must be a certain pressure difference to overcome the pressure drop in the pipeline, the reboiler and the static pressure of the two phases.
(2)The installation height requirements of thermosyphon reboiler
The liquid at the bottom of the distillation column flows into the pipeline, and the lower the pressure, the higher the pressure. If the tube where the liquid rises is high, the pressure will be reduced to cause bubbles in the tube. The height of the siphon effect is determined by the generation of bubbles.
(3) Special requirements for vertical thermosiphon reboiler
If the vertical thermosiphon reboiler is operated in vacuum, it is not suitable for liquids with greater viscosity and materials with solids, and the height of the tower skirt is also required.
