Gate valve selection techniques mainly have the following two points:
1. Structure and working principle of radiator gate valve
The temperature control in the user's room is realized by the radiator thermostatic control valve. The radiator thermostatic control valve is composed of a thermostatic controller, a flow regulating valve and a pair of connecting pieces, wherein the core component of the thermostatic controller is a sensor unit, that is, a temperature package. The temperature package can sense the change in ambient temperature and produce volume changes, drive the valve core of the adjustment valve to generate displacement, and then adjust the water volume of the radiator to change the heat dissipation of the radiator. The set temperature of the gate valve can be adjusted manually. The gate valve will automatically control and adjust the water volume of the radiator according to the set requirements, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the indoor temperature. The gate valve is generally installed in front of the radiator and automatically adjusts the flow to achieve the room temperature required by the residents. Gate valves are divided into two-way gate valves and three-way gate valves. Three-way gate valves are mainly used for single-pipe systems with spanned pipes. The shunt coefficient can be varied from 0 to 100%. The flow adjustment room is large, but the price is relatively expensive and the structure is complicated. Some two-way gate valves are used in double-pipe systems and some are used in single-pipe systems. The resistance of the two-way gate valve used in the double pipe system is greater; the resistance used in the single pipe system is smaller. The temperature-sensing package of the gate valve and the valve body are generally assembled into a whole, and the temperature-sensing package itself is the on-site indoor temperature sensor. If necessary, a remote temperature sensor can be used; the remote temperature sensor is placed in a room that requires temperature control, and the valve body is placed in a certain location on the heating system.
2. Selection and design of gate valve
Gate valve is the most important regulating equipment for heating system flow regulation. Other regulating valves are auxiliary equipment, so gate valve is necessary. If a heating system is not equipped with a temperature control valve, it cannot be called a heat metering and charging system. In the design of gate valves, the correct selection is very important. The purpose of gate valve selection is to determine the KV value (flow coefficient) by allowing the drop in resistance based on the design flow rate (under a known thermal load); then determine the diameter (model) of the temperature control valve from the KV value. Therefore, the design atlas or manufacturer's samples must give the relationship between KV value and diameter, otherwise it is not convenient for designers.
