1. Variety selection and sowing period
The key to the success or failure of early-maturing spring cabbage cultivation is to choose good varieties and suitable sowing dates. The selected varieties must be early-maturing varieties that are strong in winter and are not prone to immature bolting. The sowing date of early spring cabbage depends on the local climatic conditions. Sowing too early, seedlings are bolted through vernalization when the seedlings are too old in the overwintering period; sowing too late will affect the output value of heading. Early-maturing cabbage should be sown from late December to early January; for example, seedlings can be cultivated in mid-to-late January during greenhouse sowing.
2. Seed treatment
Before sowing, the seeds should be exposed to the sun for 2 to 3 days to increase the germination rate and enhance the germination potential. In order to prevent downy mildew and black stem disease in the seedling stage of cabbage, after sun exposure, the seeds can be soaked in a potassium permanganate solution of 350-400 times at 40℃-45℃ for 4 hours to 5 hours. At the beginning of the seed soaking, it should be fully stirred to lower the water temperature. . After the seeds are out of water, they are spread out to dry, that is, they are wrapped in a clean damp cloth, and two layers of coarse damp cloth are wrapped on the outside, and placed in the pottery, and the germination is accelerated in a warm place. During the germination period, it should be washed once a day with warm water at 18°C-20°C. After washing, let it dry and wrap it. The temperature in the bag is controlled at 20℃-25℃. When the seeds begin to germinate, the temperature should drop to about 18℃. After 3 days, when the radicle grows to 0.3 cm, the seeds can be sown.
3. Sowing
Generally, if the germination rate of seeds is above 90%, 5.25 grams per seedbed is sufficient. In this way, after thinning, each border can provide 4500-4800 seedlings, which can transplant 5 borders. Sowing method: The sowing is required to be even, and the seedlings can be sparsely and uniformly. Approximately 0.5 cm of fine soil should be covered immediately after sowing. When the sprouts are topped with soil, the soil is covered for the second time, with a thickness of about 0.3 cm. The third covering and sealing of the tip is carried out after the seedlings emerge evenly and the cotyledons are flat, after thinning, with a thickness of 0.3 cm.
4. Grow seedlings
All cabbage plants are transplanted by raising seedlings. Spring cabbage is mostly grown early. In cold regions such as Northeast, Northwest and Inner Mongolia, seedlings are usually grown in the greenhouse from February to March. The seedling period is 60-80 days. There are two seedling methods in North China: one is from mid-December to January Seedlings are cultivated in Yangqi in the first ten days of the month, and planted in February and February. The second is to raise seedlings in a plastic greenhouse in February, with a seedling period of 40-50 days; autumn cabbage seedlings from June to July, the seedling period is generally 35-40 days; summer cabbage seedlings from April to May, the seedling period is 30-40 days .
