The purpose of the gauge glass is to enable factory managers and engineers to view the inside of the system without destroying the internal environment. Often called sight glasses, they provide you with a way to view the level of liquid or gas passing through key points in your design, monitor pressure changes, and almost everything else that the sight glass window can do. Sight glasses have become the key to operations such as steam pipes, chemical processing, pharmaceutical processing, and food processing due to their wide range of uses.
It is necessary for the gauge glass to be able to withstand contact with any materials and fluids that will come in contact, so that the glass will not be damaged or degraded, affecting your system's ability to monitor using it. Assuming it is kept in good condition, it is necessary to use the sight glass as convenient and friendly. When observing the sight glass, the liquid level facing the sight glass represents the liquid level of the system at that time. Bubbles on the glass indicate you have a liquid/vapor mixture. If you are looking at the clear glass while the system is running, it means you have a whole strip of liquid (or no liquid at all). The patterned backplane or striped inserts make it easier for you to view the liquid level and check according to the expected results.
