Reflex Gauge Glass

Reflex level gauge glass is made from borosilicate glass and aluminosilicate glass. There are grooves on the side of the glass surface facing the medium. Generally, the number of grooves is 3 or 4.

It is used in industrial boiler level gauges to display and read the level. The groove makes the reading clearer. Called sight glass and reflex sight glass, reflex glass will be finely ground, polished and toughened during processing to make it strong and transparent, and resist the erosion of the liquid in the boiler. The production process is strictly in accordance with the DIN7081 standard. 

Applications:

Up to 35 bar saturated steam, reflex glass provide the optimum solution:

• they are corrosion resistant and provide an absolutely clear indication.

• Reflex glass can be used with all media except steam at service conditions

• up to 400 bar or temperatures up to 400 °C.




Specification:

• Material: borosilicate glass, aluminosilicate glass.

• Surfaces:polished;

• Lateral Surfaces:plain moulded or ground;

• Width of sealing surface:30-34mm;

• Tensile bending strength

• Standard: ≥ 150 N/mm²      High Pressure: ≥ 180 N/mm²

• Compressive prestress

• Standard: ≥ 80 N/mm²       High Pressure: ≥ 100 N/mm²

• The thermal toughening increases the tensile bending strength by a factor of 2 at least. That guarantees the safety demanded of level gauge glasses according to DIN 7081.

• Auxiliary service: Customer logo or production date can be printed.
  

According to customer needs, non-asbestos gasket or graphite gasket can be matched with the product.

Packing:

White paper box for each piece, 40 pieces with gaskets or 50 pieces without gaskets in one carton, or as customer`s requirements.
