If you don’t want your microfiber towels to be disposable. Then we suggest you read the following article. We often receive questions about how to maintain these items, so let's summarize and help you extend the life and condition of your towels.
1. Cleaning before use.
I know that everyone has the same mentality, and hope to try it the first time after getting a new product. It is not recommended to use the towel directly, it is best to wash it before the first use. Towels are more or less contaminated by dust during the production process, packaging and transportation, and some dyed towels with insufficient color fastness may have a certain chance of fading. So I suggest that you get a new towel and wash it once before using it.
2. How to clean?
It is best to use cold water and add a special liquid towel cleaner for cleaning. Do not use powdered washing powder. These powder particles will be absorbed by the fiber towel. Fabric softeners and bleaching agents (it is estimated that few join the club) can not be used, which will cause the towel to lose water absorption. Then make sure that your microfiber towel is washed separately from other items.
In addition, towels that have been wiped with solid agents such as wax, sealing agent, glaze, etc. should be cleaned separately from the water-receiving towel to avoid mutual contamination. Finally, I hope everyone can clean the towel as soon as possible after each construction.
The cleaned microfiber towels are recommended to be stored in a dry and airtight container to avoid moisture and dust pollution.
3. How to dry?
Do not use a dryer for high-temperature drying. Microfiber towels usually contain 70%-80% polyester (polyester) and 20%-30% polyamide (nylon). Polyester has a low melting point, and some dryers cannot be set to a controllable low temperature, which may cause damage to the towel.
Therefore, we do not recommend using a dryer that cannot be temperature-controlled for drying. If your dryer can't control the temperature accurately, it is better to dry it in the shade instead of using the dryer. Spinning is the use of centrifugal force of high-speed rotation to spin water out of drying without damaging fibers.
Fourth, check towels regularly
How do we check whether the towel has been damaged through incorrect maintenance? Lay the towel flat and pour a little water on the towel. If the water droplets are not absorbed but stay on the surface. Congratulations, this towel can be thrown away or wiped off the wheels and tires. The towel fibers have been fused and cannot be repaired. And don’t leave your towel in a damp place. This environment will allow bacteria to breed and produce unpleasant odors and will slowly destroy your towels.
The above information is provided by towel manufacturer.
