1. Concentricity
During the manufacturing process of stainless steel punching blanks at a temperature of 2200°F, the steel is softened and formed by punching and spiral drawing in the hole cutter. Therefore, the tube wall thickness and eccentricity are not uniform. Therefore, ASTM ensures that the wall thickness of seamless steel pipes is greater than the difference between the gaps in the seam pipe. Grooved tubes are formed by precision cold-rolled thin plates (4-5 feet in width per roll). Such cold rolled sheets generally have a maximum thickness difference of 0.002. 2. Welding performance

3. Granularity
The particle size of the metal is related to the heat treatment temperature and the time to maintain the same temperature. The grain size of the slotted stainless steel tube is the same as that of the seamless stainless steel tube. If the joint pipe is subjected to minimum cold treatment, the particle size of the weld is smaller than that of the weld metal. Otherwise, the particle size is the same.
4. Pipe strength
Due to the strength of the pipe in the alloy composition, it has the same strength and the same heat treatment alloy steel pipe and the seamless stainless steel pipe joint is basically the same.
5. Corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance also depends on the composition of the alloy. The seamless stainless steel pipe has the same chemical composition and corrosion resistance as the fully heat-treated slotted stainless steel pipe. In an acid chloride environment, welded joints in slotted steel pipes that are not sufficiently heat treated will accelerate corrosion, but this is only necessary for corrosion testing.
