Vitamin A&D ointment can be used safely and effectively without side effects. However, burning, tingling, redness, or irritation may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor immediately.

If your doctor prescribes this medicine, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you outweighs the risk of side effects. Many people use this drug without serious side effects.

If these unlikely but serious side effects occur, tell your doctor immediately: abnormal skin changes (for example, whitening/softening/wetting due to excessive moisture), signs of skin infections.

Very severe allergic reactions to vitamin A&D ointment are rare. However, if you notice any symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, including skin rash, itching/swelling (especially face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, and difficulty breathing, please seek medical attention immediately.
