Cr12MoV steel has high hardenability
Round steel refers to a solid long steel strip with a circular cross-section. The specifications are expressed in millimeters of diameter. For example, "50" means round steel with a diameter of 50 mm. Round steel is divided into three types: hot rolled, forged, and cold drawn. The specification of hot-rolled round steel is 5.5-250 mm. Among them: 5.5-25mm small round steel is mostly supplied in straight strips, which are often used as steel bars, bolts, and various mechanical parts; round steel larger than 25mm is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts or seamless steel tube billets.
H13 hot work steel
The characteristics of H13 hot work die steel: electro slag heavy capacity steel, this steel has high hardenability and resistance to hot cracking, contains a high content of carbon and vanadium, good wear resistance, relatively weakened toughness, and has good High heat resistance, good strength and hardness at higher temperatures, high wear resistance and toughness, excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and high tempering stability. It is widely used in the manufacture of forging dies, hot extrusion dies, precision forging dies with high impact load; die-casting dies for aluminum, copper, and their alloys.
Cr12 cold work die steel
There is a large amount of Cr element in Cr12 steel, mainly forming (Cr.Fe)7C3 type compound, and cementite type carbide is very few. A large number of carbides are dissolved in austenite during quenching heating, and high-hardness martensite is obtained after quenching: during tempering, martensite precipitates a large number of dispersed carbides. Due to its high hardness, it improves the wear resistance of steel. Cr shifts the isothermal transformation curve to the right, thereby increasing the hardenability of the steel. The martensite transformation point is low, and there is a large amount of retained austenite in the die steel after quenching, which reduces the deformation of the die during quenching. Because Cr12 steel has high hardness and good wear resistance, it is widely used in cold work molds.
