In the spring festival of 2020, the pneumonia epidemic infected with 2019-nCoV (novel coronavirus) in the countrywide. In response to the call, Changzhou Plastics Factory Co., Ltd., has the courage to take on the social responsibility, takes urgent action to cooperate with the front line of prevention and control, does its utmost to provide urgently needed medical supplies for disinfectant and alcohol production enterprises to fight against the epidemic, and makes contributions to overcoming the epidemic and protecting the people’s livelihood with practical actions.

Changzhou Plastics Factory Co., Ltd. is the only enterprise in hollow container industry that can produce pharmaceutical packaging, food packaging and chemical packaging. As early in the SARS prevention and control period more than a decade ago, the enterprise, with State Inspection and Quarantine Department, has developed a special container for packaging the sterilizing raw materials. The container has highly praised by many users for its good sealing, corrosion resistance and reliability. After the outbreak of COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019) this year, demand for disinfectant surged, followed by a surge in orders for packaging containers for hazardous chemicals. The company had deployed the transportation vehicles and delivered the goods to customers on the second day of the Spring Festival. Up to February 10, 6000 medical drums for benzalkonium bromide solution (25L), 9000 drums of medical alcohol (25L), 9000 drums of medical glycerine (25L) and 10000 drums of chloros (10L) have been delivered. The company fully supports the production of disinfectants and alcohol production enterprises and combats the epidemic.

“It’s a grain for a times but a mountain for an individual”. The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 disrupted the Chinese Spring Festival and changed all enterprises. At the moment of having to press the pause key, Changzhou Plastics Factory is also saving energy and waiting for "start 2020".

After the outbreak of the severe epidemic, the company's executives immediately put in place urgently, mobilized the relevant staff in advance to prepare, and carried out a comprehensive screening of the physical condition of the alternative employees, and fully supported the production of medical packaging containers. At the same time, the company actively understood the park policy, prepared for the resumption of work. According to the spirit of relevant documents, the company proposed the application for resumption of production at the first time. After receiving the approval letter, the company organized more than 50 employees left in Changzhou to resume work as soon as possible and rushed to produce packaging containers for disinfectant manufacturers.

After the company resumed work, in order to further strengthen the prevention and control work of 2019-nCoV and maintain normal production order, the relevant system and epidemic prevention and control work plan have been formulated to ensure the physical health and life safety of the staff and their families.

We adhere to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, conscientiously implement the arrangements of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, and provinces and cities, firmly establish bottom-line thinking, take effective prevention and control of the epidemic as the overriding task at present, conscientiously implement the principle of "prevention first, safety first ," conscientiously strengthen the responsibility of "epidemic situation is order, epidemic situation is responsibility," adhere to scientific coordination, full-time supervision, mass prevention and control, strict prevention and control, and put control measures to every link, every process and every post to curb the epidemic spread and provide a safe, orderly and reassuring environment for the staff.

II. Organizational leadership

The company establishes a leading group on epidemic prevention and control with the general manager as the team leader, the Deputy General Manager of Production Department and Deputy General Manager of Sales Department as the deputy head, and the Deputy General Manager of Financial Department, Chairman of the Union, General Manager Assistant and General Manager as the members. Responsibilities and areas of control have been defined.

III. Relevant measures

Conduct screening: HR Department summarizes the employees ready for work, screens the activity trajectory of the staff within half a month before resumption, develops the card for movement information validation, fills in the travel registration form, signs the letter of commitments and completely master the leave/destination, physical condition and other information.

Implement disinfection and elimination: carry out environmental improvement in the factory area, regularly carry out environmental sanitation cleaning and drug elimination in key office areas such as canteens, workshops and office buildings on a daily basis; carry out regular disinfection of public areas and object surfaces by special personnel, strengthen the natural ventilation in the workplace, and set up hand sanitizer and related disinfection supplies in all workplaces.

Provide materials for prevention and control: do a good job of statistics, procurement, storage and distribution of prevention and control materials. At present, the materials for prevention and control have been in place to ensure the security, including 5000 masks, 8 drums of 84 disinfectant (25kg), 20 barrels of 75% alcohol (20kg/barrel) + 2 boxes (500ml*25 bottles/box), 2 infrared radiation thermometers, 7 sprinkling cans, 90 pairs of protective gloves, 43 pieces of protective clothing, hand washing solution 5L + 40 bottles (500g/bottle).

Raise awareness: Using all kinds of propaganda bars, banners, electronic screens, WeChat groups, Dingding talk app and other carriers, carry out special education on 2019-nCoV epidemic prevention and control, promote the control and prevention knowledge to employees and improve self-protection ability of the staff.

Strengthen health management: set up the staff morning inspection system, implement the special person to measure the temperature of the staff and establish the health declaration system. The employees who have the symptoms of fever, cough and so on, should take the initiative to declare, prohibit entering the factory and seek medical treatment in time. After work, the company disinfects once in the factory area and at least two times a day for the populated area.

Strengthen plant management and control: Factory area implements closed management. All persons shall measure the temperature before the entry. Doorman is responsible for recording body temperature. The people with body temperature over 37.3℃ are prohibited to enter the factory. The factory does well in the registration and confirmation of foreign personnel. All foreign personnel must register at the gate post with name, telephone number, recent visit to the epidemic area and other information, and do a good job of hand cleaning, body temperature measurement and mask distribution etc. The factory urges employees to stay at home after work to minimize going out and reduce visiting relatives and friends.

Ensure food safety: the factory strengthens the management of cooks and service personnel, strictly implements the system of health check-up and pre-job hygiene, strengthens the hygiene management of canteens and tableware, keeps canteens clean and tidy, scientifically implements disinfection and clean-up, strictly implements the system of inspection and demand for tickets for food purchases, strictly prohibits slaughtering, purchasing and processing wildlife and domestic livestock and poultry, does not supply food such as cold food and raw food, and takes protective measures such as separate meals.
