Copper alloy explosion-proof tools are high-strength and corrosion-resistant in most flammable gases. However, it is not corrosion resistant under all conditions. For example, in wet ammonia, acetylene, certain ammonium salts, fluorine, chlorine, chromium, ammonium, and certain dichromate media, the degree of corrosion is quite large. Some mediums will react chemically after contact with copper alloys, generating dangerous explosive substances, such as acetylene and copper compounding to form copper acetylene. Therefore, when using explosion-proof tools, try to use them in a dry environment as much as possible. If it is impossible to avoid using them in a humid environment, speed up the operation as much as possible, reduce working time, and prevent large corrosion and danger.

Explosion-Proof Tool

Copper alloy explosion-proof tools are made of high-purity electrolytic copper and precious and rare metals. Among them, aluminum bronze explosion-proof tools are made of silver-yellow. The hardness of the working face is above HRC25, tensile strength δb75-85kgf/mm2, working in the environment of flammable gas ethylene (concentration 7.8%), impact (impact), friction, drop hammer will not produce spark explosion, explosion-proof grade GBExⅡB standard. After the beryllium bronze explosion-proof tool is made into the tool, the surface is golden. The working face hardness is above HRC35, the tensile strength δb105-120kgf/mm2, working in the flammable hydrogen (concentration 21%) environment, impact (impact), friction, drop hammer will not produce spark explosion, explosion-proof grade GBExⅡC standard.

All kinds of tools should be cleaned with oil stains before use. After use, they should be wiped clean. They should be kept in a dry place. They should be stored in isolation from corrosive substances. If they are not used for a long time, they should be stored with the proper amount of lubricating oil. There are two types of explosion-proof tools. One is a beryllium bronze tool, which is a national grade IIC product, and does not detonate gas when operating in a hydrogen concentration of 21%; the other is an aluminum bronze tool, which is a national grade IIB product with a concentration of 7.8%. Operation in ethylene gas does not detonate gas. Because beryllium bronze material has zero magnetism, beryllium bronze tools are also called antimagnetic tools, which can work safely in a magnetic field environment. In short, explosion-proof tool products can effectively prevent flammable explosions caused by friction between tools and work objects, and ensure national property and personal safety.
