How To Check The Car Fuel Pump?

CHEVROLET N300 Fuel Pump is responsible for delivering fuel to the car. If it does not work, the car will not work. The following small series talks about how to check the car oil pump.

1. Open the fuel tank cap and turn on the ignition switch. You can hear the sound of the pumping sound for 3 to 5 seconds at the tank port. If there is any indication that the pump and line are working properly.

2. Remove the engine oil inlet pipe, block the oil pipe by hand, open the 4D or start the vehicle. If there is oil flowing out of the oil pipe, the oil pump and the wire harness are normal.

3. Turn on the ignition switch or start the car. There is no oil flowing out of the oil pipe. You can check the oil pump relay and touch the relay to pick up the hand. If the relay is closed, the oil pump relay and the front harness are good.

4. Turn on the ignition switch and measure the voltage at the oil pump plug. If there is a voltage of 12V for 3 to 5 seconds, it means that the relay to the oil pump harness is good, then measure whether the oil pump resistance is at the specified value. If not, the fault is in the oil pump.

5. If the oil pump rotates but the oil pressure is too low, the oil pump should be removed to check if the fuel filter is dirty and the oil circuit is blocked. You can replace the new filter on the vehicle. If the oil pressure is still low, you should replace the oil pump.
