Graphite crucible is made of crystalline natural graphite as the main raw material, plastic refractory clay as the binder, and it is made by combining with different types of clinker. It is mainly used for smelting special alloy steel, melting non-ferrous metals and their alloys. In terms of product performance and use, graphite crucible is an integral part of refractory materials.

Crucibles can be divided into three categories: graphite crucible, clay crucible and metal crucible. Among the graphite crucibles, there are three kinds of ordinary graphite crucibles, special-shaped graphite crucibles and high-purity graphite crucibles. Various types of graphite crucibles, due to different properties, uses and conditions of use, use raw materials, production methods, process technology, and product specifications.

The main raw material of graphite crucible is crystalline natural graphite. Therefore, it maintains the original physical and chemical properties of natural right ink, namely: good thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient during high temperature use, and certain strain resistance to rapid heat and cold. It has strong corrosion resistance to acids and alkaline solutions, and has excellent chemical stability. There are many types and specifications of crucibles, which are not restricted by production scale, batch size and types of smelted materials during application. They can be selected arbitrarily, with strong applicability and can ensure the purity of smelted materials.

Graphite Crucible

Graphite crucibles are widely used in the smelting of alloy tool steels and the smelting of non-ferrous metals and their alloys in metallurgy, casting, machinery, chemical and other industrial sectors due to the above-mentioned excellent properties. And has a good technical and economic effect.

The types of crucibles are roughly divided into three categories: the first type of copper smelting crucible; the second type of copper alloy crucibles, the special round has 100 numbers, the round has 100 numbers, and the third type is for steelmaking. There are 100 numbers. Crucible specifications (size) are usually expressed by the size of the serial number. Crucible No. 1 has a volume capable of melting 1000g of brass, and its weight is 180g. When the crucible is smelting different metals or alloys, the melting amount can be calculated by multiplying the corresponding metal and alloy coefficient by the crucible's bulk density specification number.

Crucible production raw materials can be summarized into three types. One is crystalline natural graphite, the other is plastic refractory clay, and the third is calcined hard kaolin skeleton clinker. In recent years, high-temperature-resistant synthetic materials such as silicon carbide, alumina emery and ferrosilicon have been used as the skeleton clinker of the crucible. This clinker has a significant effect on improving the quality of crucible products, enhancing the density and mechanical strength of the crucible.

There are three methods for forming crucibles. The more primitive and ancient forming method is hand molding. The second is the rotational molding method and the third is the compression molding method.
